Men's Community Breakfast | August 18, 2018

Jaclyn Pyatt

By: Eric Vale

We had a great time of sharing at our latest Men's Breakfast.

Bob Maes spoke, on "What happens when our plan doesn't match God's plan?" He started with a short testimony of how he came to faith (and, for him, as it was for me, it was 2 separate steps of accepting Christ as Savior, and then later making Him Lord of his life). He then got into topic, and started with several examples of people in the Bible whose plans were changed by God (Joseph, Moses, Abraham, Paul, and Mary + Joseph, to name a few). He then told how the trips to Haiti got started back in 2010, and told several very cool stories of how God has worked through people in ways Bob and others could not have planned or expected, to make good things happen in Haiti. He had one story of how their trip literally saved one young girl's life (physically first, then spiritually). Great stuff! We had a chance afterward to continue the discussion at our tables, specifically considering how God has changed or is changing our plans in our lives.
