Child Dedications
Discipleship is a lifelong journey, and it begins at home. As a church family, we want to support you as you raise your child to know and follow Jesus. Child Dedications are one way we do that.
What to Expect
During a worship service, we’ll invite you to bring your child on stage and introduce them to our church family. We’ll then ask you a few questions affirming your commitment to raise your child in the way of Jesus—similar to the vows you might make at a wedding. Finally, we’ll pray a blessing over your child and your family.

Invite your family and friends to church to celebrate this special moment with you. This is a big milestone in your family’s faith journey, and it is also a great time to invite your friends and family to church.
Show up at 9:30am the morning of Child Dedications for our service run through, where we’ll confirm all of the details for the morning and you’ll get to mingle with other parents who are dedicating their children along with you.

Child dedications are for children from birth through 6 years old.

Child dedication is a commitment parents make to raise their child to know and follow Jesus. At Fair Oaks, we believe baptism is a public expression of a person’s own faith in Jesus, so we dedicate young children rather than baptize them.
Our hope is that each child who is dedicated will one day choose to follow Jesus and be baptized.
